A different type of “bonding”

Veteran and Dog

We are all about bonds here at Florida Surety Bonds; whether they be the legal, paper binding bonds, or an emotional, heart felt bond. This story out of Tampa is about a different type of “bonding”.

A disabled Florida veteran was reunited with the dog he lost after a car crash.

Army veteran Luke Macner had just adopted, Nina, when the two were involved in a serious car wreck. Nina wandered away from the crash scene while Macner was taken to the hospital. A woman found the pup wandering the neighborhood and after hearing a whole community was looking for the dog she brought her to the Humane Society to see if she was in fact the missing pup.

“It really means the world to me that there were so many people out there looking and caring. I’m a simple person. I lead a simple life, but to lose something as important as this dog, really, really hurt me. Now that we’re back together, we’re a team,” Macner said.

Macner is still recovering from broken bones, but says his heart is healing now that he has his furry friend back.
