The team at FSB contributed box loads of non-perishable food items and delivered to Spring Lake Elementary. There, up 60 backpacks will be packed of food for these 60 children who are living at the Remington. This small contribution is making a difference to these kids. We are happy to report that even though there are many low income children at Spring Lake, they are still an “A” school, so parents are working with their kids and the kids are doing well despite tough circumstances.

In lieu of Holiday Gifts, Florida Surety Bonds made a “seed” money gift to Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County for a Disabled Veteran. Our candidate is a disabled Navy Vietnam Vet. He and his wife have four sons, two of which servce in the Navy and Army, and 10 grandchildren. J P Morgan Chase Bank has donated a first floor foreclosed condominium in Altamonte Springs, and it needs a complete interior rehabilitation, i.e. kitchen, bathroom, flooring, etc. as well as disability features. The condominium is a better fit due to maintenance and safety concerns than a new house. The project will begin in February 2014.
